No, we'll still be using the same firewalling methods for DDoS. Ordinarily, we could use a different method of filtering that wouldn't ban legitimate users, but unfortunately that method is a pain in the ass to get working with forums. And the bans aren't random at all - the firewalls don't just take random IP's and ban them for no reason, our firewalls limit the number of connections allowed to be established per minute, and if you're refreshing excessively, the firewalls will think you're attempting to flood the server and will temporarily ban you. But yes, since we are getting a much better server, there will be improved speed.

Obviously tech can cover a ton of different things... He specialize in modding hardware and software I believe, so as long as someone knows the correct answer on the tech team there is no problem.

I've restored the site to the new server now - all Renaker has to do is change the nameservers to ns5.hr-development.net and ns6.hr-development.net and the site will be live on the new server.
